Hi friend, and welcome to the world of calligraphy!

I am Uliana, a calligraphy artist based in Royal Tunbridge Wells and just like you, I love calligraphy. I feel fortunate that this passion of mine became my full-time business and if this is something you aspire to, you can make it happen.

I have a weakness for Copperplate script and flourishing, but I am constantly focusing in expanding other skills and scripts. I don’t think you’ll ever say ‘no’ to add a new book into your library or enrol in a new course.

This quote from Picasso would be my advice for any beginner. From my personal experience, I would recommend starting with a traditional script like Copperplate. Mastering this style helped me experiment with more modern style without harming the basic letter form. The secret to progress in calligraphy is a combination of Knowledge, Tools, Patience, Time and Perseverance.
