Frequently Asked Questions

If you’ve got questions….I’ve got some answers. In case you don’t find your answer here, please email me!

Who supplies the items for engraving?

There are 2 options: you supply the item and send to me or I can supply for you (this saves you time).

If you choose to purchase the product, it is best to sent directly to me from the retailer (you will save on postage). Please always choose well known retailers such as Boots, The Perfume Shop, Look Fantastic or brands’ direct websites.

How does the engraving process work?

If you have any questions about pricing, feel free to email for a quote before we start the process.

1. You will complete the Engraving Request Form on my website (this will save time for for back and forth emailing)
2. You will send me your item(s) or get them posted directly from the online retailer to save a bit on postage.  I’ll provide the postal address when everything is confirmed.
3. In the meantime, I will send you the invoice for the engraving job (which needs to be paid before any work is commenced)
4. Once I receive the item, I will then send you a digital mock-up of the engraving so you can get a general idea what it will look like and make any changes if desired.
5. I will engrave the items, and post them back to you.

How long is the turnaround time for engraving?

My standard turnaround time for engraved items is 10-15 working days.

It all depends on how much work I already have in the queue in that month.

If you have multiple items it ensures they can all be completed.  The earlier the better as I would hate for you to wait until the last minute and I can’t accept the order as there are too many in the queue.

What if I need the items quickly? Do you do rush orders?

Yes, I will try my best to accommodate all orders.  I usually have the ability to turn rush orders around in a day or two but since that means moving projects around, there is a Rush Fee of 10%-20% involved depending on the scope of the order.

What is Colour Fill?

Once the items are engraved, some bottles can then be filled with Gold or Silver.

If you are not sure what colour fill to choose, I’m happy to recommend what colour matches best the item.

What surfaces can be engraved?

Glass, metal, marble, granite, slate, some plastics..simply just ask!

Can textured items be engraved?

Unfortunately No. I usually decline those items or recommend an alternative option like bottle painting.

Can frosted items be engraved?

If the bottle is frosted, there are some limitations for colour fill (it works best for one word only and not longer small text). There is option to remain frosted or etched with no colour fill
